The Imaging Source AFU-Series
with USB 3.0, USB 2.0 port
Autofocus cameras for image processing projects with variable working distances
In some machine vision applications, it is virtually impossible to maintain precise working distances, resulting in objects moving out of focus. For these applications, The Imaging Source offers a selection of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 autofocus cameras. With software-controlled one-push autofocus, the cameras produce sharp images despite a variable working distance.
Highly sensitive CMOS sensors from onsemi and Sony deliver excellent image quality - even in poor lighting conditions. Additional image control functions such as gain and exposure time can be adjusted automatically or manually using the included imaging software. The compact dimensions of the cameras enable easy integration into new or existing applications.

The Imaging Source Z-Series
GigE
Zoom cameras for quick adjustments to fluctuating working distances, changing fields of view and lighting conditions
The Imaging Source's Z-Series optical zoom cameras (12x, 20x and 30x) feature an integrated motorized lens for software-controlled adjustment of focal length, aperture and focus. The cameras are available in color and monochrome variants with a choice of global and rolling shutter sensors (3.1MP - 5MP).
Using the cameras' precise stepper motors, the focal length and focus can be quickly adjusted with a full zoom pass (i.e. from fully zoomed out to fully zoomed in) in less than 6 seconds. The included software allows you to control additional camera functions such as the aperture and the method of the IR cut filter.
GigE Vision and GeniCam compliance ensures easy integration into a wide range of machine vision projects, including industrial automation, quality assurance, inline inspection, traffic (ITS), surveillance and medical.
