UV blocking Filter

UV filter ( UV blocking filter) are special filter, which are being used in the industrial image editing and photography. They block ultraviolet light and are often colorless or slightly yellow.

Image sensors are not just sensitive to the visible spectrum of light, but to the invisible ultraviolet part. Because of the UV light especially strong chromatic aberration or a strong blue tint can appear on images. 

When using UV blocking filters, those effect are being repressed. Additionally color flaws are being avoided and the images get more contrast and definition. When the UV filter is being used, corrections of exposure settings are no longer required. 

The UV Filter can also be used for protection of the front lens.
