Macro Reverse Ring M40,5mm Ricoh FP-RR40 / C80036
- Macro reversing ring
- Filter Thread M40,5
Macro reversing rings are used for macro photography and also known as retrorring or close-up adapter. Using the macro reversing ring, lenses are mounted in reverse position on the camera, creating a magnifying glass-like effect. Since the focal point or the focal plane in the case of lenses tends to be closer to the rear lens than to the front lens, the use of macro-inverted rings reduces the focusing distance and produces an enlargement of the object. Compared to close-up lenses, the use of macro-reversing rings is advantageous because no further glass elements are implemented in the light path. To get over the reproduction scale of 1:1, you can vary something by the employment with intermediate rings of different strengths.
