Top Produkt, aber Achtung!
Ich hatte den Magewell gekauft, um meine 4K Kamera nun auch im Rechner unter vMix nutzen zu können. Da alle PCIe-Anschlüsse in meinem Rechner bereits belegt waren kam also nur eine externe Lösung in Frage. Der Magewell hat Anschluss, Konfiguration und so weiter mit Bravour gemeistert und auf Anhieb ein Bild erbracht. Allerdings keines in 4K. Erneutes Nachlesen in der Beschreibung brachte die Erkenntnis, das dieser Adapter zwar 4K annimmt, aber nur 2K ausgibt. Ich habe ihn daraufhin zurückgegeben.
Fazit: Wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil. Der Adapter funktioniert einwandfrei, man muss nur wissen, wofür man ihn einsetzen will!
Plug & Play
Einfacher geht es nicht mehr, alles wurde sofort erkannt .Ich arbeite mit einem Macbook Pro und aktueller Software High Sierra. Alles läuft rund ! Das Gerät selbst ist sehr handlich und benötigt kein extra Netzteil. Bild und Tonqualität sind hervorragend.
Solide verarbeitet, funktioniert auf allen Systemen
Wir setzen diese Capturing-Device erfolgreich in einem low-cost Präsentations- und Konferenzsetup ein. Bei Präsentationen geht der Input (i.d.R. ab einem Laptop) per Loop through ohne weiteres Zutun auf den Beamer (einzige Bedingung ist Stromversorgung über USB). Zum (zusätzlichen) Streamen kann das Signal über den USB-Anschluss von einem anderen Rechner leicht geteilt werden (erfolgreich getestet mit Adobe Connect, Appear.in, OVS, Youtube, Skype, VLC Player, etc. auf verschiedenen Betriebssystemen, u.a. Windows 7, Windows 10, OSX 10.6, OSX 10.11, Ubuntu 17). Die Bildqualität ist sehr gut, man hat aber natürlich keinen Einfluss auf die ev. Kompression in Skype o.ä.
Das Gerät sieht professionell aus und ist sauber verarbeitet. Einziges Caveat: es erwärmt sich recht stark.

This USB capture card works great with Resolume Arena. Easy to set up, and it is truly (!) plug and play! Installing is automatic, and setup is fast and easy. We have been looking for such a solution for month after having lot of trouble with some PCi capture cards. Highly recommended!

Ich hatte lange nach einer smarten Lösung gesucht meine 4k-Kamera als Webcam zu nutzen, um eine gute Bild-, aber auch Tonqualität zu haben. Dieses kleine, feine Interface ist genial. Auspacken, über USB 3.0 anstöpseln, Mikrophon angeschlossen (3,5-Klinke), Kamera über HDMI, Webinar-Software an....konnte direkt alles anwählen...alle Geräte erkannt! So mag ich das! Das Geld ist dieses Ding allemal wert. Hochwertig verbaut, solide In- und OUTput-Buchsen! Das Ding lässt sich auch prima einpacken und mitnehmen. Benötigt keinen externen Stromanschluss! Daumen hoch für das Magewell USB Capture HDMI Plus!
